Defined Benefits (DB) Enhancements Project
Overview:
The purpose of this project was to bring the DB portion of the investment system up to current level to match the Direct Contributions portion. This particular project required changing types of processing for packaging DB products, including writing new programs creating new DB2 tables, etc.
Solution:
The database administrators provided by Global Tech Services completed several duties to help meet project goals. Their responsibilities included:
• Performing analysis and document required changes to modules
• Writing a new program to utilize new DB2 tables
• Performing production support responsibilities
• Supporting a new application program for a resource

Oracle Application Implementation
Overview:
As one of the leading companies in the retirement
community market segment, this Company presented a
project to implement Oracle Applications (11i),
which would help organize their business with Oracle
Financials and Oracle Human Resources. With nearly
120 retirement community locations all over the
United States, this project would integrate all
locations and present financial consolidation at
each entity and organizational level.
Solution:
Global Tech Services promptly provided professional
assistance in the complete project life cycle of the
implementation of Oracle 11i, which consisted of the
Full Financial Suite, including GL, AR, AP, PA,

Policy Application Entry Project
Overview:
A large diversified services Corporation presented a project that would improve the existing Policy Application Entry system, Customer Information Control System (CICS). CICS presented challenges in training a new data entry role, making it difficult to bring in or transfer help. This new efficient system project would:
• Reduce time of application entries
• Adapt versions of the application forms (i.e. per policy, per state, over time)
• Provide rich user-interface in a browser thin application Manage complex applications such as Joint, Alternates and Additionals.
• Be extensible to workflow, auto-approvals Invoke business transactions in the CICS system.
Solution:
Global Tech Services team assured meeting the massive project goals in a successful manner with expert advice in: WebSphere Application Developer 4.0, EJB, MQ/JMS, JCA (for CICS invocation), JDBC 2.0, JTA (Java Transaction API), Servlets, and Javascript.
.NET Project
Overview:
In order to upgrade their product line and take advantage of the Web, this Worldwide Insurance Solutions Company developed a .NET project to meet customer needs and competition. This multi-year, multi-product initiative involved re-writing the Company’s number products based on Web technologies and the Microsoft .NET Framework. The Company also forecasted implementing products targeted for the Web Enabled Initiative (WEI) including: Check-EZE, Annual Statement 2000, and Tracker.
Solution:
Global Tech Services promptly provided the technical resources to deliver the WEI system in a timely and successful manner.

ReIndexing
Overview:
The Mortgage branch of a major Company presented a
project to automate reindexing of mortgage
documents, simplifying the process extensively.
Solution:
Considering the specific project goals with using
the cutting edge technology of IBM Workflow, the
Company called Global Tech Services for their
professional technical resources. Global Tech
